While we won't know the Pantone Color of the Year for 2025 until late December, most of the the big (and not so big) paint companies have announced their colors of the year for next year already.
Sherwin Williams, partnering with Home and Gardens TV, has announced Quietude, which is a sage-like blue color. I feel like this color fits in well with the sage green trend that is happening right now.
Behr's color for 2025 is called Rumors, and is a burgundy shade. Burgundy is very happening right now in fashion world, so this seems like a good pick, especially with the color-drenching that is happening in interiors currently.
Dutch Boy went with Mapped Blue, a light blue that also reads a little sagey to me.
Velspar went in a totally different direction with Encore, a deep, rich blue which reminds me of the Cobalt trend that was big last summer.
Little Green, which used to be only available in the UK, but is now available in the US, picked Mochi, which looks like a pinky-beige to me.
It remains to be seen which of these colors will take over the interiors world next year, but it's always fun to look at colors and dream of ways to use them in our spaces!
